Ski in - Ski out From the front door directly onto the glacier
Experience snow and ice all year round. 3203 metres high, the Kitzsteinhorn towers over the Kaprun valley. At 3,029 metres you will find a viewing platform called the ‘Top of Salzburg’. From the summit station, you can reach a second viewing platform with a view of the Hohe Tauern National Park via the 362 metre-long Glückauf-Hanna tunnel. During the ski season, you can enjoy a ski area with around 60 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes.

There are 2 lifts in the Kaprun ski area, which are ideal for beginners and families with small children:
The Maiskogel is the ideal ski area for families, cosy winter sports enthusiasts and beginners. Right in the centre of Kaprun, families and connoisseurs can access the Maiskogel ski area directly via state-of-the-art lifts. In the Maisi Park, little piste dwarves can try their first freestyle attempts on mini obstacles and small jumps. Wide pistes offer a great overview and a gentle practice slope with platter lift provides ideal terrain for beginners.
